After graduating in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, Robert Hill taught English in Spain, Greece and England. For the last 25 years he has been based in Italy, where he taught for many years at the universities of Verona and Milan and has been involved in teacher training and project consultancy for the Italian Ministry of Education, regional educational authorities and the British Council. Currently a freelance teacher trainer, author and series advisor for Black Cat Publishing, he has spoken at IATEFL, TESOL and other conferences and held workshops all over the world. As writer and editor, he is particularly interested in reading skills. He has published numerous text-books and articles, and The Black Cat Guide to Graded Readers.
